xDSL Coverage Maps (GIS Files)

xDSL providers, local Government agencies and other organisations have a need to understand the effective coverage territory of each DSLAM-equipped exchange.  Here we distinguish between PSTN coverage (notionally the whole exchange area) and the respective portions where ADSL/ ADSL2 services can be provided.

Customers obtain a set of ADSL, ADSL2 and "Distance Too Far" polygons for each required ESA.  Once these polygons have been created, geospatial techniques can be used to quantify numbers of included customers, extract company details etc.

Legend:
   - Yellow dots, geocoded businesses
   - Purple dots, geocoded residences
   - Pink dots, G-NAF (underneath the above two layers)
